I’ve been “blogging” pretty consistently at another site for nearly 10 years, and while the community is supportive, it’s also not exactly what I need anymore. I don’t mean to imply that I know what I need, just that I know what isn’t working.
I figured I’d start a new blog (again) and hopefully I won’t abandon it haphazardly in a few months. The appeal of writing just to write without anyone’s preconceived notions of who I am or who I should be will keep it going for awhile at least. My entries will be scattered because that’s how life is, particularly mine, just because I’ve got so many interests I can’t even list them all.
As for me, I’m a fun, playful woman (even though I don’t often call myself that), with a childlike sense of wonder and more craft products than I know what to do with. I love movies and books and podcasts and blogs and pictures and scrapbooks and life in general. I love Hello Kitty and Bettie Page, The Carpenters and Eminem, childhood cartoons and steampunk, spending time in the kitchen and playing video games. I’m in a dedicated, loving and adventurous relationship that I am grateful for every day, even if we’re getting on each other’s nerves (though, admittedly that doesn’t happen often).
Some entries may be short and others might be long. Some creative writing perhaps, but mostly just vignettes of my everyday being. Or every other day, depending on how often the urge to write strikes.
Just stuff.
